The Bill and Melinda Gates vault is again open for good works. Three charities that each help drought-relief efforts in Ethiopia -- Save the Children, CARE and World Vision -- will receive portions from a new $1 million grant established by the Seattle-based Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The foundation established by the Microsoft Corp. chairman and his wife, with assets of nearly $22 billion, has so far assisted education and health groups around the world.
