Guitarist Eddie Van Halen, 45, does not have cancer, as was widely reported yesterday (including in the PEOPLE.com Daily) after his band's official Web site posted a notice that he was receiving treatment at a noted cancer facility. According to hospital officials at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, he may have some risk factors for tongue cancer, and he will undergo preventative treatment as an outpatient.
