Berle Footage Found

Uncle Miltie should be sleeping better this week. On Friday, NBC claimed it had found nearly all the missing film footage of comic Milton Berle's early TV shows. Berle, 92, filed suit against the network in May, saying that (in violation of Berle's NBC contract) it had lost or given away the films. Berle, who helped establish the medium of television in the late '40s, was asking for more than $30 million. An NBC spokesman told Reuters that in light of the discovery, Berle is expected to drop the suit.
