Comic's Health, TV Show on Hold
Standup comedian Robert Schimmel, 49, is seeing his new Fox TV show indefinitely placed on hold as he is being treated for cancer, reports Reuters. The show, loosely based on Schimmel's experiences as a father, had been set to begin broadcasting in November but is now "a question mark," said a Fox spokeswoman. Schimmel reportedly was diagnosed this spring with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
