Bryan Edwin Smith, 43, the man who struck author Stephen King in his van last year in Maine, has been found dead in his mobile home, reports USA Today. Smith had been indicted on charges of aggravated assault and driving to endanger last year after he struck and nearly killed King, who was walking on the side of a road not far from his home in Bangor, Maine. Later, he accepted a plea bargain of one year's probation and a suspended license. No cause of death has been determined, report police, who add that there was no sign of foul play. King released a statement that said he was "stunned and sorry" to hear about Smith's death.
