Pop star Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and soccer star husband David Beckham dropped their lawsuit in London yesterday against author Andrew Morton over an upcoming tell-all bio about the couple. Morton, author of the international bestseller about Princess Diana, reputedly based this new book on details furnished by Mark Niblett, an ex-bodyguard for the couple. Publisher Michael O'Mara told reporters that "200 or 300 words, which we feel are relatively trivial," were excised from the 60,000-word manuscript, and in return the Beckhams "promised not to sue us for libel or defamation or anything in the future."
