Matchbox Twenty: Happy Ending
A stolen green Taylor acoustic guitar belonging to Matchbox Twenty guitarist Adam Gaynor has been rightfully returned to him along with a letter of apology from a rather polite -- but anonymous -- thief, reports the Associated Press. The instrument was reported missing on Sept. 18 during the band's performance at the University of Florida, leaving Gaynor to make appeals for its return over local radio stations. A friend of the thief reportedly called a hot line set up by Atlantic records, the band's label, to say that he was aware of the thief's identity and that the culprit wished to return it. He said, "I think he did something stupid and felt really bad about it,' " said a label spokesperson.
