Temptation's Rings Tempt Thief
Otis Williams, 58, founder of the '60s Motown group the Temptations, says $43,000 in jewelry (including three diamond rings and a Rolex watch) were stolen over the weekend from his hotel room in Ohio while he was on stage. "I can't speculate why he didn't have it in a more secure place," Springfield police Capt. Rick Rose told the Associated Press, which reports that, so far, there are no suspects in the case. The Temptations, best known for the song "My Girl," sold more than 22 million records in their time.
