Jaid Barrymore, 54, the mother of actress Drew Barrymore, pleaded guilty to a weapons possession charge in a Manhattan State Supreme Court yesterday, reports The New York Times. The elder Barrymore was arrested last May while putting up posters for a rock band. A police search reportedly uncovered a loaded .357 Magnum revolver in her purse. She could have faced a prison sentence of up to seven years, says The Times, but instead Judge James Yates ordered her to do 10 days of community service.
