A Star for Rickles

10/23/1997 at 12:00 AM EDT

Insult comic Don Rickles, 74, got his star on the Hollywood Blvd. Walk of Fame yesterday, and, typically, he had something nasty but funny to say. "I want to thank my fans who are here on the street on their way to look for a job," he snapped. "My wife, Barbara would be standing next to me, but her jewelry is too heavy for her to walk over here." Rickles, who's the voice of Mr. Potato Head in the "Toy Story" movies (which just happened to go on sale in their home-video versions yesterday), was accompanied at the sidewalk honors by Dick Clark, Bob Newhart and Tony Danza, reports the Associated Press.
