Novelist John Grisham ("The Firm") plans to donate nearly 1,000 acres of rolling grassland near his Virginia horse farm to the Piedmont Environmental Council, reports the Associated Press. He says he'd like the land, near his Albemarle County horse farm, to be preserved for the future. "It's just nice to know this land will always be pristine," said the author.
