For Sale: Andy Griffith Haunt
The status of the 77-year-old Snappy Lunch restaurant in Mount Airy, N.C. is up in the air. The eatery, a tourist draw that is known for its pork chop sandwiches and as the boyhood hangout of 74-year-old TV star Andy Griffith (the joint was mentioned frequently on the old "The Andy Griffith Show"), is for sale, reports the Associated Press. Asking price: $159,000. Its current owner, Jack Snow, 72, has high hopes that the Snappy Lunch will be saved. "I think that somebody will buy this on emotion," he said.
