Rhine, Comedy Writer, Dies

Larry Rhine, the Golden Globe-winning comedy writer best known for writing for "All in the Family," has died at the age of 90, reports Reuters. Rhine, who died Friday in Los Angeles, worked as a screenwriter for Universal and 20th Century Fox in 1936, but he made his professional mark in television comedy, writing for shows such as "Bob Hope," "Mr. Ed," and "Here's Lucy," and, later, for "The Odd Couple" and "The Brady Bunch." He is survived by his wife, actress Hazel Shermet, and two children.
