With a president-elect now named, what better time to have syndicated political humorist Art Buchwald, 75, back at the keyboard. The national institution, who suffered a debilitating stroke in June, resumed his twice-a-week column just after Thanksgiving. "I'm doing pretty good now," Buchwald told The Washington Post. "I'm up on my feet, doing fine." He's also hawking his 35th book, which also happens to be his first novel: "Stella in Heaven," about a deceased wife who still manages to control her husband's life. "I'm not asking people to buy the book," says the humorist. "I want people to become scouts for me. I want them to go to Barnes & Noble, and say, 'Do you happen to have Mr. Buchwald's book?' "
