Hunky western star George Montgomery, 84, who graduated from low-budget horse operas to musicals and romantic comedies (and was once married to singer Dinah Shore), died of heart failure at his home in rancho Mirage, Calif., on Tuesday. His career last six decades and, in the '50s, starred on TV's "Cimarron City" . . . "Queen of the B-Movies" Marie Windsor, 80, a sassy femme fatale of some 74 movies (including "Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy"), died at her Beverly Hills home Sunday. Besides the comic team, her costars also included Marlon Brando, John Wayne and James Garner, and her TV appearances included guest stints on "Gunsmoke" and "Murder, She Wrote."
