The Beach Boys, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., Bob Marley and the Who will receive lifetime achievement Grammys from the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences during the awards broadcast next Feb. 21, the organization announced this week. Past "lifers" include Jimi Hendrix and Frank Sinatra. In other awards news, President Clinton on Thursday announced the National Medal of Arts winners in the arts and humanities. They include ballet's Mikhail Baryshnikov, country's Eddy Arnold, jazz's Benny Carter and Quincy Jones, Broadway's Harold Prince, literature's Maya Angelou and Toni Morrison, and Barbra Streisand.
