Janet Jackson's estranged husband, Rene Elizondo Jr., has filed a $10-million-plus lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against the singer and actress, claiming that she broke a 1987 promise to divide property acquired before their marriage in 1991. He is specifically seeking proceeds from her 1989 album "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814" and other assets, say his legal papers. As a music artist, Jackson, the younger sister of Michael Jackson, has sold more than 40 million recordings. She announced nearly two years ago that she and Elizondo had separated. Her attorney did not respond to calls from the Associated Press for comment on the lawsuit.
