Steve Allen Autopsy
An autopsy released in Los Angeles this week stated that the Oct. 30 death of TV veteran Steve Allen was an accident and was not caused by a heart attack, as originally reported. A coroner's spokesman said that a minor car crash (another vehicle collided with Allen's Lexus earlier in the day) damaged the wall of Allen's heart, allowing blood to leak out. Allen, who was 78, died one hour and 15 minutes later at the home of his son, Bill.
