Ex-"The Brady Bunch" star Barry Williams, 46 (he played eldest son Greg), has been fined $50,000 by the Actors' Equity Association for appearing in a non-union stage tour of "The Sound of Music" (he plays Capt. Von Trapp). The actor said that he resigned from the union in September, before undertaking the theatrical production, according to Associated Press. The union said that it fined Williams because he began negotiations for the role while still a member. "I am not anti-union, and I am certainly not trying to bust the union's goals," Williams, who said he will appeal the Equity ruling, told the New York Post.
