Roy Brown, 68, who played Bozo the Clown's sidekick Cooky the Cook for a quarter century, has died of a heart ailment, it was announced Monday. Brown appeared with his red-headed costar from 1968 until his retirement in 1994 on the Chicago-based "Bozo's Circus" and "The Bozo Show," a spokesperson for WGN-TV, producer of the Bozo shows that aired on cable around the country for decades, told Reuters. His wife, four sons and thousands of slapstick fans survive him.
