Steven Spielberg, 54, and former Los Angeles Laker Earvin "Magic" Johnson, 41, are among the celebrities whose stars will be added in 2001 to the more than 2,000 bronze plaques that already line Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame, it was announced Sunday. Johnson's connection to the entertainment world is the Magic Johnson theater chain, which opened movie houses in urban neighborhoods typically overlooked by national theater chains. Others to be honored include actor Cuba Gooding, Jr.., sportscaster Terry Bradshaw and the Rugrats.
