Going bravely into familiar territory, former "Star Trek" captain William Shatner, 68, who plays a beauty pageant host in the current Sandra Bullock movie "Miss Congeniality," will serve as emcee of the Miss USA pageant, it has been announced. The competition, founded by New York real-estate developer Donald Trump in 1997, is scheduled to be aired by CBS on March 2 from the Genesis Convention Center in Gary, Ind.
