Reggae legend Bob Marley was posthumously given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, reports the Associated Press. Rita Marley, the widow of the influential musician, who died from cancer in 1981 at the age of 36, was on hand for the ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard, which took place on what would have been Marley's 56th birthday. "We give thanks to all the people who made this possible," she told members of the crowd (who waved Jamaican flags) with son Robert and daughter Stephanie by her side. In his native Jamaica on Tuesday, according to Reuters, Marley was also paid tribute to as radio stations across the island played his music. Marley will posthumously receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast on CBS on Feb. 21.
