Former "Baywatch" star Jose Solano Jr., 29, who sued Playgirl magazine with a claim that photos that it published tarnished his image, has lost his suit -- lawsuit, not swimsuit, that is. Los Angeles U.S. District Judge Dickran Tevrizian wrote in his ruling this week, "Undoubtedly, (the) plaintiff is unhappy and embarrassed about the appearance of his picture in Playgirl, and this court sympathizes with his feelings. However, his dislike of the manner in which he is portrayed or the magazine in which his picture is reproduced . . . do not provide a basis for the claims he asserts." Actually, Solano appeared on the Jan. 1999 cover of Playgirl (which is known for its nude photos of men) shirtless and in swimming trunks, and inside the mag in a relatively modest head-and-shoulders shot, which he said was purchased from a photo agency.
