Replacing Jodie Foster (who stepped into a movie role that Nicole Kidman reportedly had to vacate due to a knee injury), Norwegian actress-director Liv Ullmann, 61, has accepted an invitation to head the jury at the 54th annual Cannes Film Festival, to be held May 9-20, festival officials have announced. "I am both honored and deeply appreciative that I am now given the pleasure of being the president of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and to work with what I enjoy most -- watching movies," Ullmann said in a statement.
