Teletubby Typecasting?

Actress Pui Fan Lee, who plays the Teletubby Po -- that's the red one -- has been cast as a lesbian in the late-night British TV series "Metrosexuality," according to reports on both sides of the Atlantic. For the record, in 1999, the American Rev. Jerry Falwell accused Tinky Winky, the purple character on the British children's show, of being gay, as evidenced, said Falwell, by the fact that Tinky Winky carries a purse. (As a result, sales of that particular Teletubby skyrocketed in certain areas of the U.S.) No word yet on Metrosexuality dolls.
