Oscars Safe: Power Company

The California Department of Water and Power promises that Julia Roberts will be visible on Oscar night. That is, with the Golden State have having experienced two rolling power blackouts already twice this week, organizers of Hollywood's biggest bash, the 73rd annual Academy Awards, have been expressing their concern about an outage hitting Sunday's event. Not to worry, say producers who reportedly have checked in with the L.A. DWP. "It's our belief there will be no problems," Brian Fenshke, who manages Oscar's venue, the Shrine Auditorium, told the New York Post. "We are not subject to rolling blackouts."
