The 1995 Jeep that drove John Kennedy Jr. to a New Jersey airport on the night of his fatal 1999 flight has been sold on eBay Motors for $57,100, reports the Associated Press. (A typical price for a vehicle of that kind is said to be $13,000.) The purchaser, from Shreveport, La., reportedly wishes to remain anonymous, but eBay Motors general manager Simon Rothman told the news service that the buyer was a longtime Kennedy fan. The package with the car also included a copy of the title bearing Kennedy's name and his Manhattan address, as well as a photo of the late publisher in the driver's seat.
