Mr. Potato Head, move over: Silly Putty, nearly 60, has joined you, Barbie and the Frisbee in the National Toy Hall of Fame, reports the Associated Press. The induction occurred yesterday at a ceremony held at the Toy Hall of Fame at the A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village in Salem, Ore. Tonka Trucks, 54, were also honored. The stretchy pink goo and the metal mini-vehicles were selected for induction by a panel of educators and civic leaders who cited the enjoyment and creative playtime that the two toys have provided American youngsters for years. No comment from Barbie.
