Disco singer Jerry Collins, 44, formerly of the Trammps ("Disco Inferno"), was sentenced to 12 1/2 to 25 years in prison on Tuesday for attempted murder and aggravated assault of his wife twice last year, reports the Associated Press. Philadelphia Common Pleas Judge Gregory Smith said that Collins, who accused the press and prosecutors of conspiring against him, showed no remorse and little insight into the seriousness of the case. Collins also accused his wife Veronica, who required five staples in her head after one of his beatings, of being a prostitute.
