Kid Rock's Rocky Lawsuit
Kid Rock (real name: Robert Ritchie), 30, has filed a lawsuit against Alvin Williams, who claims the Detroit rap rocker signed a contract with him in 1989, agreeing to split the proceeds of all future record album sales. The musician claims in his suit that the contract is a fraud. Rock's attorney told the Detroit News that his client's involvement with Williams was limited to his role as an investor in a single 1989 album. Williams's attorney told the same paper that his client and two other Detroit investors spent $100,000 to fund Kid Rock's career and that they had no fewer than six signed contracts with the artist.
