'Entertainment' Producer Dies
"That's Entertainment" producer Jack Haley Jr., 67, whose father Jack Haley played the Tin Man in "The Wizard of Oz," died Saturday of a lengthy, undisclosed illness. Besides that 1974 feature documentary, Haley Jr. also produced the Oscars for a few years in the '70s. His 1974-79 marriage to Liza Minnelli (whose mother, Judy Garland, played Dorothy in "Oz") was considered a blending of Hollywood royalty. "I fell in love with him the first time I met him, and I have loved him with all my heart ever since," Minnelli said in a statement this weekend.
