Outspoken tennis champ John McEnroe, 42, has signed with Putnam to write his as-yet untitled memoirs, to be published in 2002, reports the Associated Press. While no financial terms were discussed, it is said that he will receive at least $1 million. "His autobiography will reveal the very private side of a very public and fascinating figure," said Stacy Creamer, a senior editor at the publishing house. In addition to his sport, Creamer said McEnroe will write about his 1986-1992 marriage to actress Tatum O'Neal.
