Gwyneth's Stalker Detained
Dante Michael Soiu, 51, an Ohio pizza delivery man who last December was convicted of stalking Gwyneth Paltrow and sentenced to a high-security psychiatric facility, must remain there for the foreseeable future, L.A. Superior Court Judge Robert O'Neill ruled on Thursday. The Associated Press reports that during the hearing, Soiu's attorney presented the court with a progress report on his client. At last year's trial, Soiu was found to be insane after Paltrow, 28, testified between tears that she had lived in fear of Soiu for nearly a year, convinced that he would attempt to hurt her. He had sent hundreds of letters to the Shakespeare in Love star and showed up at her parents' home in Santa Monica four times, according to court testimony. On Thursday, Judge O'Neill requested another progress report on Soiu in December.
