Monotone-voiced cable TV host Ben Stein, 56, sued the Internet company Shockwave.com in L.A. Superior Court on Tuesday for breach of contract, reports the Associated Press. Stein, who stars on "Win Ben Stein's Money" on Comedy Central, claims that he was promised $212,250 (in shares and stock options) for helping to develop an online game show for Shockwave.com, but that the company applied "stalling tactics" to avoid making good on the offer. The Hollywood Reporter quotes Shockwave (now called AtomShockwave) CEO Mika Salmi as saying, "We're already settling with Ben Stein."
