"Survivor: The Australian Outback" contestant Keith Famie, whose rice-cooking skills on the recently ended show were open to debate, is about to become host of some programming on the Food Network. (He also flamed out as a fire maker.) The Detroit Free Press reports that the West Bloomfield, Mich., chef (who placed third on the CBS reality show) will headline "Taste the Adventure," an eight-day block of shows that will kick off on Sunday. It will continue to air in prime time through June 22 and during a weekend daytime marathon that will run from June 23-24. During that time, Famie, 40, will provide intros to shows and discuss his own food adventures. "It seemed pretty natural, I guess," he told the Free Press, while Food Network execs say that they are looking for future projects to involve Famie. "We think he's a really talented person," said Eileen Opatut, the network's senior vice president of programming and production. "He's a cool guy."
