Marc Anthony's Father's Day
Marc Anthony, 31, must appear in Queens, N.Y., Family Court on June 21 for a child support hearing after not showing up on Thursday, ruled hearing officer Joette Blaustein. Newsday reports that the singer must account for himself after the lawyer for his 6-year-old daughter's mother argued that Anthony should serve as the first witness in the 18-month-old case. The child's mother, Debbie Rosado, 31, claiming that Anthony's payments have been sporadic, says that she "needs to know" whether or not Anthony will increase his payments. "I just want him to step up to the plate," said Rosado. "I'm not asking for a lot of money. I'm asking for what my daughter is entitled to under the law." No specific monetary figures were mentioned. One of Anthony's attorneys, Robert Dobrish said that he personally advised the Latin singing sensation not to show up in court Thursday, for fear that Anthony might cause a "stir in the court."
