This year's best supporting actor, "Traffic" star Benicio Del Toro, 34, suffered a fractured wrist last week while shooting a fight scene with Tommy Lee Jones, reports Variety. Both actors were reaching for a knife and "it was a freak accident," said Paramount chief Sherry Lansing. Del Toro was rushed to UCLA hospital for surgery and, said Lansing, it will be five months before he can return to work on the film, called "The Hunted." As a result, the production, scheduled for a spring 2002 release, will now be released in the fall.
