From 90210 to 10036: Perry on B'way
Beverly Hills's onetime hottest heartthrob is sporting a new look these days: garter belts and high heels, for Broadway's revival of "The Rocky Horror Show."

Luke Perry's latest role is a drag, it is revealed in detail in the latest issue of PEOPLE. The former "Beverly Hills, 90210" heartthrob, 34, has taken on the role of the sexually repressed Brad Majors in the current Broadway revival of "The Rocky Horror Show," having kicked off his five-week run on Tuesday. (In the cult 1975 movie version of the show, Majors was played by future "Spin City" star Barry Bostwick. Susan Sarandon played his fiancé, Janet.) Perry, whose role allows him to kick up his heels (high heels, that is, and garters), tells PEOPLE that the strangest thing that's happened to him so far is getting fitted for a bustier and corset. "You ever worn one of those damn things?" Perry responded. "Well, it ain't too comfortable. Fishnet stockings . . . all of that. I am not remotely glamorous, and now I know why: It's just too much trouble." As for why he agreed to walk on the wild side in the show in the first place, Perry said it was because "they asked me."
