Sampras Ties Knot
The world's top-ranked tennis champ, Pete Sampras, 29, married actress Bridgette Wilson, 26, at his Beverly Hills home on Saturday, reports the Associated Press. Vera Wang designed the bridal gown, which was accented by more than $400,000 worth of diamond jewelry, according to publicists for jeweler Fred Leighton, who supplied the baubles. Wilson, a 1990 Miss Teen USA who went to Hollywood the following year, appeared in the movies "Last Action Hero" (as Arnold Schwarzenegger daughter), "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Billy Madison." Sampras first spotted her in the movie "Love Stinks," PEOPLE reported in August, and he tracked her down from there. "Not only is she beautiful, but she is so sweet and nice," Sampras's friend, L.A. Lakers publicist John Black, told the magazine, "and she's funny and she's fun to be with." Added Sampras's sister, Stella: "They are comfortable with each other. They want to have a family, and she has the qualities that will make her a good wife and mother."
