First Daughter Jenna Bush, 19, had her day in court on Friday. She was fined $500 and had her driver's license suspended for 30 days for having been caught drinking beer. In another case, she received probation for using false identification to buy an alcoholic beverage. (The legal drinking age in Texas is 21.) Austin Municipal Court Judge Kerrie Key slapped Bush with $100 fine for court costs, required her to perform 36 hours of community service and ordered her to attend sessions on alcohol's potential dangers. Bush, who did not appear in court Friday, had pleaded no contest. Meanwhile, Jenna's father, President George W. Bush, was celebrating his 55th birthday at the family's retreat in Kennebunkport, Maine, on Friday. He told reporters that his daughters (Jenna has a twin, Barbara) were both in Texas, and he was looking forward to getting a call from them. White House spokesman Ari Fleischer added that President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush consider their daughters' legal cases private affairs. Barbara Bush was also ticketed on May 31 for underage drinking (she had a margarita and a tequila shot at a popular Austin Mexican restaurant).
