After a nearly three-month battle to survive, supermodel and Cover Girl spokesperson Niki Taylor, 26, returned home to Davie, Florida, on Tuesday, her manager, Lou Taylor (no relation) has announced. In late June, Niki had been transferred from Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital to an unidentified physical rehabilitation center after having been in Grady since her nearly fatal April 30 car crash that left her with severe liver and abdominal injuries. "Niki had been readmitted to Grady on July 6th," manager Taylor said in a statement. Her return to the hospital was "to drain fluid from around her liver," he said. After her hospital release on Tuesday, the model went directly home, where she will begin physical therapy, the statement added. In her own message, Taylor said, "Words cannot express the gratitude in my heart for Dr. (Jeffrey) Nicholas and everyone at Grady who worked so hard to save my life. I am very grateful." Her publicist said that she also plans to hold a celebrity benefit to raise money for Grady.
