The one and only lovable Lucille Ball, who would have turned 90 on Aug. 6, will be the seventh honoree on a U.S. commemorative postage stamp in the postal service's Legends of Hollywood series. A ceremony to mark the stamp's introduction will be held Monday at the Hollywood History Museum -- in Hollywood, of course. Ball, who died in 1989, was the star of TV's "I Love Lucy," which debuted 50 years ago this October and which is still seen in reruns around the world. Meanwhile, in other news of a philatelic nature, people in Tokyo were lining up on Wednesday to get their own picture on a postage stamp, reports Reuters. Vanity stamps that feature personal photos went on sale for the first time in Japan. The stamps, which cost 88 cents each, can be used to mail a normal letter, and postal officials hope they will help promote interest in letter-writing in the age of e-mail.
