Movie legend Katharine Hepburn, 94, was sent home from Connecticut's Hartford Hospital on Thursday morning, ending a nine-day stay during which she was treated for an infection and underwent physical therapy to get her back on her feet. "She was discharged at 10:15," said James Battaglio, a spokesman for the hospital. "Her progress was deemed satisfactory enough so she could go home." The star lives on her family's estate, called Fenwick, in nearby Old Saybrook, Conn. Battaglio said that Hepburn, who has been beset by a variety of health problems (most of which are age-related), was as well as when she arrived at the hospital on the evening of July 18. "She's on a par with what she was when she came in," he said. She was treated with antibiotics for an infection whose origin Battaglio did not disclose, though it was reported that relatives announced she was suffering with a urinary tract infection. Hepburn was born in Hartford on May 12, 1907, and her father and brother, both doctors, practiced at Hartford Hospital.
