James Bond star Pierce Brosnan, 49, and former model and "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Keely Shaye Smith, 37, exchanged wedding vows in a super-secret ceremony Saturday at a 13th-century abbey nestled in the emerald hills of western Ireland. According to reports, security officials used massive white sheets to shield onlookers from catching a single glimpse of the festivities, the photo rights for which Brosnan reportedly sold for $1 million to Britain's Hello! magazine. The bride, said to have been wearing a Richard Tyler dress, and groom arrived separately at Ballintubber Abbey before the Roman Catholic service, and left together in a white Rolls Royce. Limerick-born Monsignor John Fleming, who met Brosnan during the filming of "The World is Not Enough," officiated, reports Reuters, which described the abbey's interior as having been decorated with pale pink roses, blue cornflowers, lilies, lavender and ivy by a team from a London florist. Afterwards, the groom's hand appeared through the window of the wedding couple's car and flashed a "thumbs up" sign to fans. The reception was held some 20 miles away, at the 800-year-old Ashford Castle. Brosnan (whose first wife, Cassandra Harris, died of ovarian cancer in 1991) met Smith when she interviewed him at a fund-raising event for the protection of California gray whales in 1994. They have two sons: Dylan, 4, and 5-month-old Paris, who was baptized Friday at Ballintubber Abbey. Brosnan and Smith had planned to marry in May but postponed the wedding after Brosnan's 16-year-old son Sean was seriously injured in a car accident in Malibu.
