The CEO of the Damiani Group jewelry company, which last year made the wedding rings for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, denies the couple's legal claim that the firm agreed not to sell similar rings only to break their pact. The couple filed a $50 million lawsuit in federal court last month, insisting otherwise and saying that they -- Pitt and Aniston -- had designed the one-of-a-kind rings. "There has never been any type of agreement or contract between Damiani and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston prohibiting or limiting the marketing of the jewelry in question," Guido Damiani said in a statement. Damiani called the rings originals that are owned by the company. The actors' rings are white gold bands studded with diamonds and engraved with each other's names. According to the Associated Press, a hearing on the couple's application for an injunction is scheduled for Sept. 17. A temporary restraining order is already in place, prohibiting the jeweler from selling similar rings, according to the couple's attorney, John H. Lavely Jr.
