Marilyn Manson in Hot Water
It seems Marilyn Manson may have gone a little too far. Michigan officials have charged the shock rocker with criminal sexual conduct, reports the Associated Press. Manson, known for engaging in wild acts onstage, allegedly stood behind a 25-year-old security guard and masturbated during a July 30 concert at DTE Energy Theater in Clarkston, a Detroit suburb. Manson then spit on the guard, wrapped his legs around the man's head and neck and gyrated against him, said prosecutor David Gorcyca. Gorcyca's office issued a warrant Thursday for Manson, 32, which has been delayed until Gorcyca can get in touch with Manson or his representatives. In the meantime, investigators are interviewing possible witnesses, Gorcyca said. Repeated messages left with Manson's publicist were not returned Thursday night. Mason, whose real name is Brian Warner, could serve up to two years in prison if found guilty. The singer also faces one count of misdemeanor assault and battery. "It was definitely offensive conduct," Gorcyca said. "It's one thing to shock the audience by some kind of behavior, it's another to involve an unwilling participant who was there to protect him."
