There are smiles in Burbank: NBC grabbed seven of last week's Top 10 spots on the Nielsen ratings list, thanks, for starters, to an overwhelming interest in watching Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) discover she was pregnant on "Friends." NBC's "ER" audience, which slacked off considerably during summer's rerun season, came back strong last week. Furthermore, NBC's "Crossing Jordan," starring Jill Hennessy as a medical examiner, had what was arguably the week's most impressive debut, and that show's premiere with 15.7 million viewers. That show's close cousin, CBS's "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," returned to the air and ended up with twice as many viewers as its competition in the same timeslot, ABC's declining "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire." Fox, which has put off the premieres of such popular shows as "The X-Files," had a bad week, as viewers shunned such reality fare as "Love Cruise" and "Who Wants to Be a Princess?" ABC's season premiere of "The Mole" placed 80th place for the week, a sign that the public also isn't interested in fake reality. Some shows are already exhibiting signs of viewer indifference. Topping that list: CBS's "Danny" and "The Ellen Show," NBC's "Emeril" and Fox's "Pasadena." Conversely, the Top 10 for the week of Sept. 24-30:
1. "Friends," NBC, 19.5, 20.6 million homes
2. "ER," NBC, 18.3, 19.3 million homes
