There's a big payday ahead for Jennifer Lopez. Variety reports that the singer-actress, 32, will receive $12 million to co-star with Ben Affleck in the upcoming movie "Gigli," which is to begin shooting next month. In addition, J.Lo reportedly will also receive a high single-digit percentage of the back-end profits. The salary represents quite a leap from the $9 million Lopez received for last spring's romantic comedy, "The Wedding Planner," which had already made her the highest-paid Latina actress in movie history. By comparison, Julia Roberts, 34, the highest paid of any woman in movies, received a $20-million salary for "Erin Brockovich." In the '90s, the now retired Demi Moore generated upfront fees of $12.5 million. In "Gigli," to be directed by Martin Brest ("Beverly Hills Cop," "Meet Joe Black"), J.Lo will play a free-spirited gunslinger sent to supervise a hit man (Affleck), with whom she falls in love. Christopher Walken is set to costar as a police officer. And speaking of Julia Roberts, it is also being reported that she is negotiating to rejoin George Clooney, her costar in the upcoming "Oceans 11," in "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," which would mark Clooney's directorial debut. Sam Rockwell, Drew Barrymore and Clooney are already signed to star, and the flick is based on the memoirs of game show impresario Chuck Barris, who revealed that creating shows like "The Dating Game" and "The Newlywed Game" was merely a cover for his real job -- as a government assassin.
