UNVEILED: Following in the fashion footsteps of such other TV personalities as Kathie Lee Gifford and Jaclyn Smith, former "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" star Jane Seymour, 50, has entered into a partnership with direct marketer Blair Corp. to create the Jane Seymour Signature Collection of women's fashion, reports the New York Post. Blouses, skirts, dresses, jewelry and accessories with the Seymour touch (she paints, Seymour said at a press conference) will be available starting in January . . . SURFACED: Props from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," which opens Nov. 16, mysteriously disappeared from the set during filming at Leavesden studios in Hertfordshire earlier this year only to reappear for sale on the Internet, police said on Wednesday. Among the items that found their way onto an Internet auction site are a wizard's hat and three "gold" coins. Police could not confirm newspaper reports that crewmembers working on the $125 million film are believed to be behind the thefts . . . DROPPED: A tribute to New York City firefighter and police rescue heroes has been plucked out of Sunday night's Emmy Awards after show officials decided to make the show more upbeat, the telecast's producers announced Monday. The segment was to have been hosted by Dennis Franz, but was shelved, the organizers said, because they wish to lighten up the show's overall tone . . . DIED: Distinguished New York and Hollywood publicist John Springer, 85, died of a heart attack in Manhattan on Tuesday. Possessed of an amazing memory and an unabashed love of movies, Springer had an unmatched client roster that included Marilyn Monroe, Henry Fonda, Judy Garland, Joan Crawford, Warren Beatty, Al Pacino, Tony Randall and, at the height of their "Cleopatra" fame, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
